Untitled DocumentUSBg Installation Instructions
Windows XP/Vista
These instructions will help guide you through the use of the U3G, U4G, and U5G cables. Note that the U3G, U4G, and U5G do NOT require any drivers to be installed.

- Insert the USB cable into an available port on your PC.
- Go to the Control Panel (Start / Settings / Control Panel) and check to see if the "Human Interface Devices" (HID) group is shown along with the "HID-compliant game controller" and "USB Human Interface Device" sub-headings.
If the HID group is displayed (as circled above), the cable is connected properly (close the Control Panel dialog.) If the HID isn't displayed, check the USB connection to the PC or possibly try a second USB port.
Note that you do NOT have to have the other end of the simulator cable plugged into the radio for the HID to be recognized.

- Start the FMS software. You should see the opening scene similar to above.

- Go to the "Controls" menu and click on "Analog Control..."

- Select "Joystick Interface". (The older U3, U4, and U5 cables used the "Serial-PIC Interface".)

- Click on the [Calibrate] button.
- Click here for more information on mapping/calibration.
